Located on Presque Isle in Erie, PA, Waldameer Park is great fun for all ages. Waldameer is actually two great amusement parks in one, offering standard amusement park rides and coasters as well as a water park complete with lazy river and a variety of water slides. Admission into the park is free. Visitors only need to pay to ride or purchase food or novelties. Visitors have the option to buy Wally Cards or purchase an unlimited riding wristband. Wally Cards let visitors pre-load a card with cash and scan the card to ride rides. Ride costs vary from $1 to $3 on average, so a Wally Card would be a great option for someone who only wishes to ride a few rides. For visitors who plan to ride a lot, an unlimited riding wristband is a better value.

The amusement park side of Waldameer offers rides for all tastes. Several children's rides are available for the little ones as well as family friendly rides like the Merry-Go-Round. Favorites like Dodgems bumper cars and a 100 foot tall Ferris Wheel give the park old fashioned character. For more adventurous riders, the park offers several coasters including the Comet, Steel Dragon and Ravine Flyer II. Built in 1951, the Comet is fun family friendly wooden coaster winding through the trees. The Steel Dragon coaster features a four person car with the ability to turn 360 degrees while traveling along the track, ensuring each ride is a new experience! The park's main attraction, the Ravine Flyer II is rated the 6th best wooden coaster in the world and takes riders on a wild ride across a nearby 4 lane highway and back! The Xscream is a 140 foot drop tower, giving riders quite a thrill! The Sky Ride takes visitors over 45 feet in the air and offers great views of the entire park.

Waldameer's Water World hosts 16 water slides with a variety of thrill levels. Whether you enjoy tube slides, body slides or the just lounging in the Endless River, there is plenty to enjoy on this side of the park!  The Bermuda Triangle offers three enclosed body slides, each with a different adventure! Looking for a faster trip? Try the Speed Slides which offer steep drops and narrow troughs giving riders a wild slide! If the water is feeling a bit chilly, you can warm up and relax in the Heated Relaxing Pool, a giant hot tub that can accommodate up to 42 people.
