Define Indian American

In many countries, the term Indian refers to Native American stereotypes pervaded by movies and other media. Nowadays though, with the term Native American, the term Indian refers to nationals coming from the Indian subcontinent. Though there is still some confusion regarding the nationalities within the subcontinent, the term Indian has become specific to nationals with roots from or ancestry from India.
