Window treatments like plantation shutters are a different version of something we already have when considering blinds. The original idea was to block outdoor particles, and a way to allow some light to come into the house when needed. But if you think about it, they have become quite the commodity and something that makes windows look very nice.

Plantation shutters have been used both for additional warmth and to block out the light. Both are great benefits. If you shut them in the winter they can help to keep in the heat. It can be quite easy to clean them especially when they help reduce the amount of dust that lands on them. Basically, shutters can really make your home look very nice.
