Breakfast Meeting
It’s very early in the morning. It’s a company meeting. You have other tasks for the day.
If these are the things your staff thinks about when you call for a breakfast meeting – then change that perspective.
There are things that you can do to make your breakfast meeting worthwhile even if it’s very early in the morning, or make the company meeting more interesting, and make it one of their priority in their task list for the day.
Most people love breakfast, but if it’s the same donut over and over again for the breakfast meeting, then it really isn’t exciting anymore after the first week (okay, maybe second).
* Serve breakfast before the meeting officially starts. This is an opportunity to warm up and catch up with the other attendees. If they know breakfast will be served early, chances are your attendees will never be late in a breakfast meeting again – because for those who comes in late, too bad they’d be skipping on glorious (and free) breakfast.
* Time is important in every business dealing so if it’s time to start, then start the meeting even without the others. It is now their responsibility to catch up and be answerable to anything that comes up even if they are not around. A call time is there for something, and it is meant to be followed.
* Just as you started the meeting on time, also finish on time. Sometimes, some people deliberately miss on attending meetings because they go beyond the scheduled time and then they miss their other tasks, meetings or deadlines. Just finish on time and next time you call for a meeting, everyone will know that it will be on scheduled again.
* A hearty breakfast can make everyone focused and concentrate on the task at hand (besides, who can concentrate if you have an empty stomach). Skip the usual donuts and look at the following suggestions that can make your breakfast meeting a satisfying breakfast meeting in every sense of the word.
o Large bowl of cold soup
o Platter of fresh vegetables, with various dips
o Regular yogurt sprinkled with fruits or nuts
o Large bowls of cottage cheese sprinkled with fruits or nuts
o French cruellers
o Finger sandwiches
o Cheese cubes wrapped in bacon or ham
o Fritters
o Frozen yogurt, with or without toppings

Make your breakfast meetings stand out from all the other dreary meetings. Breakfast can start the day right. The right food, the right atmosphere, and seeing something new in the breakfast table never fails to impress. Now you’ve got the breakfast meeting set and a power breakfast meeting for sure it’ll be.
