How to Make a Caramel Frappuccino at Home

Gourmet espresso drinks have changed from an occasional treat to almost addiction for us affluent Americans.  Potentially one of the most popular selections in coffee venues across the North American continent is the Caramel Frappuccino.  However, a medium Frappuccino can cost $4 to $5!  At such prices, your java addiction can add severe financial strain!  To deliver you from both bad coffee and diminished amount of cash in your bank account, I have listed easy directions for creating your very own Caramel Frappuccino.

Items required:
1/2 cup of strong fresh java
1/2 cup of milk
3 tbsp of sugar
2 cups of cubed or crushed ice
3 tbsp of caramel syrup
Whipped topping

Make your coffee in your usual coffee maker.  But, prepare the brew approximately a third stronger than you generally like it.  Café Frappuccinos are created with espresso, and adding ice will weaken the flavor.

After that, add the coffee into a blender.  Add the milk, the sugar, the ice, and the caramel.  The syrup you squeeze to top off your sundaes will do the trick wonderfully.  Next, blend all of these things until it turns approximately the same texture as a shake.

Strain the blend into a tall glass and top off with whipped cream.  Abracadabra!  You just made your personal gourmet Caramel Frappuccino!

The biggest of the benefits of preparing your Caramel Frappuccinos yourself, other than the dollars you will save, is that you can manipulate the ingredients to your preferred taste.  If you usually prefer a stronger coffee flavor, make the coffee stronger.  You just don’t want to just add more weak brew in the beverage, because that will water down your drink.  You may want to reduce the sweetener or use 2% milk in lieu of the 3.5% milk plenty of coffee houses use.

Yet another option is to brew your java beverages in advance.  If you just can’t afford the few minutes to brew your Frappuccino in the time before you leave for work, you can prep the coffee the night before.  Just blend the mixture sans ice, then leave it in the refrigerator overnight.  The next morning, pour the blend over cubed or crushed ice.  The consistency won’t be the same, but the flavor should not be amiss!

Start creating your favorite Caramel Frappuccinos at home, and soon you will not ever wish to stop at another coffee house for your craving!
